Nestlé relies on the sustainable WMF Second Life concept to equip its company catering. This concept gives a new lease of life to second-hand cutlery, returns and discontinued products. The cutlery is stonewashed and mixed across the collections, giving each piece a unique vintage look. „Sustainability and quality were at the forefront of the design“, explains Thomas Weber, Head of Corporate Services & Director House of Nestlé. „WMF Second Life is the first choice for us.“
Since October, Nestlé employees have been enjoying delicious breakfasts and lunches in the new 270-seat market hall. Up to 660 meals are prepared in the show kitchen, with a focus on local and regional ingredients. The kitchen team focuses on crossover cooking and offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. „Our aim is for our employees to feel comfortable and enjoy working in our new headquarters“, says Weber.
The long-standing partnership between WMF Professional and Nestlé is also reflected in the new headquarters. The WMF UNIC cutlery collection is used in the fine dining area. „The cooperation for the Markthalle project was as usual professional and based on partnership“, emphasises Weber.
