Since it opened in 2018, the building has received numerous awards for its architectural, gastronomic and hospitality achievements. Art is also in the spotlight: SHA., an internationally renowned artist and perception researcher, has installed 5,000 light sticks throughout Das Lebendige Haus, which shine in the darkness far across Augustusplatz and into Leipzig’s pedestrian area. In 2020, this artistic installation was honoured with the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD. When it comes to equipment, the building owners deliberately turned to experts like WMF Professional right from the start. Together with the sales team, they selected a range of products that perfectly reflect the building’s artistic aspect.
Dine out or stay in and cook?
The average length of stay in an apartment or suite is much longer than in a hotel. So, a well-equipped kitchenette is extremely important. Although Felix in Das Lebendige Haus has its own restaurant – recommended by Gault & Millau – where its guests can dine, those who wish to can easily conjure up an excellent menu themselves in their suite. And they have everything that even a kitchen pro would need: Guests are impressed by the proven WMF quality of the knife set just as much as they are by the pans, bowls and cooking utensils, the popular flexi whisk and the cookware set. The NORDIC cutlery collection also blends in harmoniously with the clear design of the suites, and thanks to its cool elegance, the laid table is guaranteed to look stylish – right through to the after-dinner mocha. So, guests can create a restaurant-like ambience at their own table.
Suits the interior concept
Besides tabletop elements, WMF Professional provides all the small electrical appliances that are needed in the suites, like kettles and hair dryers. As part of Groupe SEB, the company offers well-known brands such as Krups, Tefal, Moulinex and Rowenta. Its range is further supplemented by an attractive selection of products from the WMF Consumer division. For owners of apartments and suites like Felix, this means that the brand and product portfolio can be combined to suit all interior concepts and budgets.
